Recommendations for your kicks in Kenpo Karate
- Always warm-up before kicking drills.
- Always stretch before kicking drills.
- Keep your hands up.
- Keep your back straight.
- Don’t force the kick if your flexibility is not enough.
- Stretch your legs, hips, and lower back.
- Before you throw a kick you need to know the target.
- Don’t overextend your leg when you kick.
- Remember that the force you are producing has to be transferred onto something otherwise you will hurt your knees.
