Stretch Your Abs
If you would like to improve your muscle flexibility and prevent any muscle tear then consider stretching as part of any workout routine.
It is important to know that tense muscles can cause a decrease in the range of motion in a person. If this occurs then the muscles become less flexible and are prone to injury.
In this abs stretching exercise lie facing down on the floor with your hands under your shoulder, now lift yourself up and straight up your arms. This is also known as the cobra pose in yoga.
The pose strengthens the vertebral column, wrists, arms, shoulders and back muscles. The famous Cobra Pose stretches and strengthens all abdominal muscles.
- A recommended routine would be 3 sets of 10 seconds each.
- Stretch on a yoga mat or on a comfortable surface where your legs are totally extended.
