Sokugi Taikyoku Sono Ichi

This is a beautiful Kata created by master Oyama. This Kata displays kicking techniques, basic blocks, and basic stances where the student practices repetition.
Sokugi means Kicking. Taikyoky means Grand Ultimate View. This is the first kicking kata from the Kyokushin series.
The techniques we find on this kata are:
- Mae Geri Keage
- Kansetsu Geri, is a side low sidekick, can be applied to the knee.
- Zenkutsu Dachi
- Kake Wake Uke
Sokugi Taikyoku Sono Ichi Step by Step
- Begin your Kata in Fudo Dachi. On the command, SOKUGI TAIKUOKU SONO ICHI followed by YOI start from the base KAMAE position and performs a slow JUMONJI/YOI DACHI. On the command, HAJIME/ICHI turn left 90° anti-clockwise, kick left Kansetsu Geri and step into left Zenkutsu Dachi and execute a Kake Wake Uke.
- Execute a right Mae Geri Keage and step forward into right Zenkutsu Dachi.
- Turn 180° clockwise to the right and execute a right Kansetsu Geri and step into right Zenkutsu Dachi and execute a Kake Wake Uke.
- Execute a left Mae Geri Keage and step forward into left Zenkutsu Dachi.
- Turn 90° anti-clockwise to the left and execute a left Kansetsu Geri and step into left Zenkutsu Dachi and make a Kake Wake Uke.
- Execute a right Mae Geri Keage and step forward into right Zenkutsu Dachi.
- Execute a left Mae Geri Keage and step forward into left Zenkutsu Dachi.
- Execute a right Mae Geri Keage with KIAI and step forward into right Zenkutsu Dachi.
- Turn 270° anti-clockwise to the left and execute a left Kansetsu Geri and step into left Zenkutsu Dachi and execute a Kake Wake Uke.
- Execute a right Mae Geri Keage and step forward into right Zenkutsu Dachi.
- Turn 180° clockwise to the right and execute a right Kansetsu Geri and step into right Zenkutsu Dachi and execute a Kake Wake Uke.
- Execute a left Mae Geri Keage and step forward into left Zenkutsu Dachi.
- Turn 90° anti-clockwise to the left and make a left Kansetsu Geri and step into left Zenkutsu Dachi and execute a Kake Wake Uke.
- Execute a right Mae Geri Keage and step forward into right Zenkutsu Dachi.
- Execute a left Mae Geri Keage and step forward into left Zenkutsu Dachi.
- Execute a right Mae Geri Keage with KIAI and step forward into right Zenkutsu Dachi.
- Turn 270° anti-clockwise to the left and execute a left Kansetsu Geri and step into left Zenkutsu Dachi and execute a Kake Wake Uke.
- Execute a right Mae Geri Keage and step forward into right Zenkutsu Dachi.
- Turn 180° clockwise to the right and execute a right Kansetsu Geri and step into right Zenkutsu Dachi and execute a Kake Wake Uke.
- Execute a left Mae Geri Keage and step forward into left Zenkutsu Dachi.
- On the NAORE command return to Fudo Dachi (pull left foot back to the base position, still looking right until the turn is completed).
