INGREDIENTS: 1.5 c. short-grain white rice; 3 c. cold water; 2 scallions, sliced thinly on a bias; 1 T sesame oil; 1.5 tsp. kosher salt; 1 T white sugar (or 1.5 T cane sugar); 1 tsp. whole black sesame seeds. RECIPE: Cook rice in rice cooker or bring water to a boil, add rice, bring to boil, and let simmer until rice is cooked through. Add all other ingredients to rice when hot. Stir vigorously to incorporate.
