Glove Up
Let’s just say for instructional purposes we have both wraps on. This is how you glove up. The trainer, or your training partner, should hold the glove just like so, grip the glove like that, and he seats the hand down into the glove, and he wants to get it snug, push a little bit, giving me a little bit more, he’s in there good. So then I turn the glove around, I tighten the laces just like so.
I want to make sure these laces are tight, so that glove is secure and snug on. And I come around, I bring the strings to the middle portion of this area right here, and I tighten that, like so, not too tight as to cut off circulation, but tight enough to keep that glove steady on his hand, and then I make a little bow tie just right there. Now I want to tape that string up so it doesn’t cut anyone, while he’s working with his trainer or while he’s sparring. How’s that feel, Neiman? The best. All right, there you go, that’s how we wrap up and glove up.
