How to Double Up Punches Boxing Lessons

Double Punches

Doubling up your punches is essential when you’re fighting a Southpaw, all right? We’re going to show you how it’s done.

Jab, jab. You might throw a one, two, but then throw another right down the middle, jab, jab. Especially if he’s fighting a Southpaw because I’m going to be coming, I’m going to be trying to stay outside his left foot. I’m going to be throwing my left hand as my power hand, so he wants to double up on his right on me, and stay outside my right foot.

One, two. One, two, double. Jab, jab. One, two, double. And you notice his movement. He’s moving outside my foot. That’s going to put him in a serious situation, and a serious position to throw his one, two or his four.
