When you’re riding know which lane you can move over into if you need to. Know where you can accelerate it. Know where you can move over to the shoulder if you need to if a car is coming at you. Just always know where you’re able to go next, where you’re able to change your line if there’s something in your corner.
Part of that is riding on your ability. Make sure that you’re always riding within your ability and that you’ve left some margin there so that if you need to change your line, you need to brake a little, you need to do something different, you’re not riding at the limit where you don’t have the ability to do anything of that.
