Attention Stance in American Kenpo Karate

Attention Stance

This is a disciplinary stance where the feet are kept together, with a back straight and with weight equally distributed. You can see the attention stance before a Kata or form, in a class lined up ready for instruction or at the end of a Kata.

Here is a good example where the martial artist is ready to begin his form but it is waiting for approval. This stance shows discipline and respect.
